“At the core of this journey has been Love. Yoga has shown me love and its ability to transform our lives. It has become a way of living for me, my mantra, my intent; to aspire always to Live in Love.”

My name is Nadine Bazan and I am an E-RYT 200. I received my RYT-200 from Black Swan Yoga in Austin, Texas in 2015 and my E-RYT 200 in late 2017. I grew up in Texas but have recently relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The practice has taken me to some amazing places around the world, to both teach and to share space as a student. It has created some of the most beautiful connections and community in my life. This appetite for study and continuous curiosity of the world has allowed me to experience teachings from humans who are masters in their craft; artists, seekers, wanderers, healers.

Yoga came to me at a time of my life that was dark and confusing. In the beginning it was an escape, a place to process, to move, to breathe. It helped me to navigate challenging moments, and eventually it became a place where I could become present, where I could show up for myself, where I could return to my true nature. Love.

At the core of this journey has been Love. Yoga has shown me love and its ability to transform our lives. It has become a way of living for me, my mantra, my intent; to aspire always to Live in Love. For me it is a practice in savoring life, in finding joy in the moments we are given, and remembering that everything is temporary.

I believe that yoga can maintain and promote health and healing through physical practice, while also establishing a sense of mindfulness and peace for the practitioner by awakening and encouraging our inner wisdom. Yoga at its purest form is an intimacy between body, mind and spirit; it is interconnectedness with ourselves and the world we live in. It illuminates what matters most, that within us is the power to shape our experiences through presence, breath, and love.

I am passionate about yoga’s intelligence to uncover the Teacher within each one of us, and its ability to lead us to a deeper, more truthful connection to ourselves. I am grateful to students and teachers alike for the opportunity to share in this discovery collectively.

Currently, I split my time between guiding yoga classes, and volunteer organizations. I am a part of some wonderful groups in our community, one is Programming Life 101 an agency providing opportunities for men to overcome addiction and to reshape their lives. My volunteer work has given me the opportunity to work with amazing companies and one of these is KiraGrace Yoga. I am incredibly fortunate to be a Warrior Ambassador for such a wonderful group of strong and inspiring women. Its companies, communities, friends, like these, that inspire me and push me to always show up, speak up, and do my best.

Thank you for practicing with me.

love,

N
